Frequently asked questions

Do I need a qualified electrician to install my EV charger?

There isn't a law that says so and it is possible to install an EV charger yourself, but using a qualified electrician and EV installer will ensure that everything is installed correctly and safely.

EV chargers use a high quantity of electricity so if the installation is not done properly, it can be dangerous, so it’s always best to consult a professional.

What is a “Short Circuit?”

A short circuit occurs when a live electrical wire comes into contact with the neutral or grounded conductor wire, either by touching it directly or through arcing, and excessive heat is generated. If you see sparks in your electrical panel, this may indicate a short circuit. If this occurs, you should call an electrician immediately.
